Some projects carry a weight of history that demands the very highest standards of specification. St Chad's College, one of Durham University's most distinguished colleges, was exactly that kind of project.

Working in close collaboration with Howarth Litchfield Architects, we were proud to supply the floor tiles for the college's communal spaces: corridors and gathering areas where students, staff and visitors move daily through some of the finest collegiate architecture in the country.

The tile selected for this prestigious project was the Pietra di Ostuni Avorio Octagon, a colour body porcelain that captures the timeless character of natural Apulian stone. Laid in the classic octagon and dot format with contrasting decorative inserts, the result is a floor of quiet authority: refined, durable, and entirely sympathetic to the grandeur of its surroundings.

The soft ivory tones and gently chiselled surface of Pietra di Ostuni Avorio bring warmth and authenticity to a space that could so easily have felt cold or institutional. Instead, these corridors feel exactly as they should, collegiate, considered, and built to endure.

This contemporary RightCar showroom demonstrates the versatility and durability of Ford Lightstone porcelain tiles in a high-traffic automotive retail environment.
